The Schoenfeld International String Competition, named in honor of the legendary string pedagogues and performers, sisters Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld, the Schoenfeld International String Competition is a prestigious biennial music event dedicated to discovering and promoting the world's most gifted young string players. Established to preserve and carry on the extraordinary artistic and educational legacy of Alice (violin) and Eleonore (cello) Schoenfeld, the competition aims to enrich global musical culture by identifying exceptional talent, fostering cross-cultural exchange, and bridging the gap between young artists and the international concert stage. Since its inception, the competition has grown into a major fixture in the classical music world and proudly serves as a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC).
